My art centers around the collection and retelling of childhood memories in an abstract fashion. This is because to me these memories are what make us the most vulnerable and shape who we are today. This abstracted collection of memories and dreams is something I often find myself thinking about; through this process I am able to write and transform some of the most personal experiences I have had into art. Through my translation of writing and distorting the viewer can piece together an understanding of my intense nostalgia, good and bad. The separation and attachment between the written pieces and the distortion of the audio is what keeps these memories and dreams at a distance while still being vulnerable.
